This holiday season, FRESCOBOL CARIOCA introduces the Barra frescobol bat, the newest interpretation of its iconic founding product. Named after Rio’s longest stretch of sand, Barra da Tijuca, the design embodies the effortless rhythm of Carioca life - minimalist, versatile and designed to slip into your beach bag. Handmade in Brazil using offcuts from the country’s renowned furniture industry, each bat is entirely unique - distinguished by its weight, grain and wood composition. Made from 100% pine Brazilian marceneiros carefully assemble, sand and seal every piece before finishing it with a natural resin for water and sand resistance.

Sourced from Brazil’s iconic furniture industry, our craftsmanship is proudly local. We give new life to offcuts of native woods - including Brazilian Walnut, Cedar, Pine, and Beefwood - upcycling them into our signature frescobol bats.

The Original Beach Bat



First played on Rio’s beaches in 1945, frescobol is the original bat-and-ball sport - born from a handmade driftwood bat and a tennis ball, it soon evolved into an icon of Brazilian beach culture. Its distinctive knock-knock became the soundtrack of Copacabana, a sound FRESCOBOL CARIOCA carries to shores worldwide.

Our goal is to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Orders placed before 12:00 GMT on business days are typically dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 GMT, or on weekends and public holidays, will be dispatched on the next business day. Please note our warehouse is
closed on weekends, so orders placed after the Friday cut-off will be
