MOVE FREELY WITH GIANLUCA LONGO

Gianluca Longo, Italian-born Editor and Menswear Savant

Gianluca Moves Freely in Mendes jeans and Fontes jacket, styled with Leme loafers.

Your London day in three stops?

1. I start early with a run or a walk in Holland Park and Hyde Park, for body and mind health.

2. I like to visit an art gallery or a museum. I like the programs at Thomas Dane Gallery and modern art; my favourite museums are the V&A and sir John Soane museum.

3. A meal at any of the restaurants on Golborne Road, my neighborhood foodie street.

If you weren't in London right now, where would you be?

I would be in Salento, south of Puglia, for all the things I love to do.

How would you describe your personal style in three words?

Chic, timeless, effortless.

What's your most irrational style rule?

I never wear short sleeves in the city.

What, to you, is ultimate proof of a good pair of jeans?

The size of its back pockets, they have to be just right.

What does ‘moving freely’ mean to you?

Feel comfortable in what I wear: be that a tailored suit or casualwear.

Where are you heading after this?

I'm going back home, to sit and read in my garden.
