Here at FRESCOBOL CARIOCA, sustainability is a cause that we care deeply about. We endeavour to act in protection of the environment in the belief that it is far greater than a moral necessity, but a driver of radical change, innovation and harmony to truly make the world a better place to live.

From the very beginning, sustainability has been at the very core of our company's ethos. Our founding product, the Beach Bat, is hand-crafted by Brazilian marceneiros from wood-offcuts that have been salvaged from the national furniture industry. In an effort to innovate our sustainable practises, our new seasonal swimwear is now being produced using ECO LUNA fabric, which is made in Spain from 100% recycled plastic.

In a bid to support reforestation within our beloved Amazônia and give back to the earth, we are proud to announce a charitable partnership with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation with a wider mission to plant more trees across the world.

Working in association with One Tree Planted, for every set of our iconic beach bats purchased online, we will plant one tree in Amazônia and provide regular updates on our progress. This initiative supports the vital work undertaken by One Tree Planted to restore land affected by deforestation and offset carbon emissions, with the aim of revitalising the “lungs of the world” as well as supporting local people with meaningful employment.
