ORIGENS, SPRING SUMMER 2026
Following the Pre-Spring 2026 season, FRESCOBOL CARIOCA continues its journey with Origens, the next chapter in an ongoing exploration of heritage and design.
Through Spring Summer 2026, the collection turns its gaze to the brand’s most iconic motif: the Copacabana wave. Rooted in the modernist principles of 1940s Rio de Janeiro, the tiled shores of the world’s most celebrated beach have long shaped the brand’s identity. This season, the collection dives into the wave’s rhythm and abstraction, echoing the undulating sidewalks that bridge sea and city, where design, movement and Carioca spirit converge.
For over a decade, FRESCOBOL CARIOCA has woven the calçadão’s iconic wave into printed apparel, swimwear and accessories. This season, the wave takes on a fresh, contemporary jeitinho Carioca with bespoke prints - Listra, Sol, Espiral, and Duo Cabana - that reimagine the wave across the brand’s signature linens, silks and terry cotton, all offered in matching sets. Each print brings a renewed interpretation of the familiar motif, drawing inspiration from the organic abstraction that defined mid-20th-century Rio.
Beyond printed pieces, the calçadão motif is woven directly into the season’s knitwear range: expressed boldly in the large-gauge, contrasting Pinto cardigan; rendered with subtle tonal precision in the tightly woven Vidal polo; and delicately threaded through terry and swim styles via the savoir-faire of jacquard. Alongside the brand’s signature fabrics, the collection introduces Tropical Wool: a new lightweight fabrication spun from exceptionally fine fibres. Designed to move with the wearer, it offers natural breathability and a crisp, clean silhouette. Reimagining core tailoring, the fabric refreshes the Safra shirt and relaxed Luan trousers, while new pleated, long-line Sereno shorts complete this softly structured trio, bringing refined ease to spring-summer dressing.
New for the season, FRESCOBOL CARIOCA introduces its interpretation of the everyday polo: Luca. Defined by quietly contrasting twill detailing and a precise, true-to-measure fit, Luca is designed as the essential layering piece of the season. A soft curved hem enhances the silhouette, while a cutaway collar and tonal buttons lend understated sophistication. The style is offered in cotton piqué - a thicker, textured weave ideal for daily wear - and in the brand’s signature cotton-linen blend, crafted for a lighter, more fluid Spring-Summer drape.
Continuing its exploration of craftsmanship and design, FRESCOBOL CARIOCA returns to its to inspire an all-new footwear collection. The range debuts three silhouettes, each shaped by a distinct facet of the Cidade Maravilhosa: the Lapa City Sneaker, the Vela Boat Loafer and the Leme Resort Slipper. Together, they mark a refined evolution of the brand’s footwear line, paying tribute to its artisanal heritage. Handcrafted with care, each design embraces an unstructured construction that blends ease, elegance and contemporary sophistication.
