Born on the beaches of Rio, the game of frescobol is a true cornerstone of Carioca culture. Handmade by skilled marceneiros, our eponymous bats are crafted using salvaged offcuts from the famed Brazilian furniture industry, each one a unique work of art.Named after Rio’s most exclusive neighbourhood, the detailed craftsmanship of our Leblon bat reflects the upmarket, design-led homes of the city’s most stylish individuals. Crafted from up to 17 individual pieces of wood, the Leblon offers an intricate finish, accented with our hand-wrapped neoprene grip.

Sourced from Brazil’s iconic furniture industry, our craftsmanship is proudly local. We give new life to offcuts of native woods - including Brazilian Walnut, Cedar, Pine, and Beefwood - upcycling them into our signature frescobol bats.

The Original Beach Bat



First played on Rio’s beaches in 1945, frescobol is the original bat-and-ball sport - born from a handmade driftwood bat and a tennis ball, it soon evolved into an icon of Brazilian beach culture. Its distinctive knock-knock became the soundtrack of Copacabana, a sound FRESCOBOL CARIOCA carries to shores worldwide.

We are pleased to offer free returns & exchanges within a 30-day return window.

Our goal is to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Orders placed before 12:00 GMT on business days are typically dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 GMT, or on weekends and public holidays, will be dispatched on the next business day. Please note our warehouse is
closed on weekends, so orders placed after the Friday cut-off will be
dispatched on Monday.
